On July 1, 2014, the University of Chicago introduced a revised student disciplinary system to address allegations of unlawful discrimination, harassment and sexual misconduct. Under this new system, matters that had previously been under the purview of the individual academic divisions and schools are now referred to a dedicated office within Campus and Student Life.
The Associate Dean of Students in the University for Disciplinary Affairs and the University-wide Student Disciplinary Committee are responsible for investigating and resolving allegations of student misconduct that involve discrimination, harassment and sexual misconduct.
Students who wish to report sexual misconduct can also contact the Deputy Title IX Coordinator for Students to learn about University support resources and receive information about accommodations or protective measures.
This website was created with input from the campus community, and will continue to be refined as additional feedback is collected. To provide feedback on the site or to ask questions of the University Disciplinary Affairs office, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
