Anonymous Reporting

If a complainant discloses an incident or incidents of sexual misconduct to the University but asks to remain anonymous during the investigation, the investigator will consider how to proceed, taking into account the complainant’s wishes and the University’s commitment to provide a non-discriminatory/non-hostile environment. The investigator will also consider the respondent’s right to have specific notice of the allegations and an opportunity to be heard if the University were to take action that affects them. In such circumstances, the investigator may arrange for limited fact finding in order to better understand the context of the complaint and explore viable options for investigation, adjudication, and remediation.
